i have to say every time i visit this great site,it still amazes me the amount of people who pay homage to this great man and his legacy will always live on.I am a grown man of 40 yrs.and i have to admit i still get choked up when i see the ending of uncle buck with the wave, and the end of planes...knowing this great man will never make another film,we can only remember him through the things he made. It`s so nice to see all these people from around the world paying there respects to the late great John Candy.
bye John YOU WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. |

I thought John Candy was a wonderful man he was funny and welcoming, I loved him in cool runnings, home alone, Uncle Buck, and my absolute favourite was Planes Trains and Automobiles. Every time I watched him he always reminded me of christmas, |

Okay everybody. I just emailed The Biography Channel. I asked them if they could do a bio on John and or if they can do one on SCTV. I bet everyone would have a lot of nice things to say about John. We luv u John. |

So why am I here? Because I was lying on my couch this Sunday morning thinking about John Candy. So, I got up and Googled him and wound up here. I knew I couldn't be the only person who recognized his warm comic genius and I'm gratified to find so many other Candyphiles here. I never felt that his work nor his death received the public recognition it deserved but now recognition it deserved but now I find that he has no star on Hollywood Boulevard! Incredible! My grown kids still remember their dad falling off the couch from laughing so hard at Candy in "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles". We owe him better. |

Gone but never forgotten,a true friendly giant,a great actor, sadly missed, always makes me smile just thinking of you and love your films,a true legend who should be on the hollywood walk of fame, disgusted you haven`t been honoured, goes to show it isn`t the true people who have the final say,its the bigwigs of the film industry and i think they should be ashamed at the fact there is no memorial laid in honour of such a talented actor. |

I'm sorry that the previous comment came on pretty strong but, I am very angry. Though Dan Fogler did say he would decline but they shouldn't be trying to replace John Candy or remaking any of the movies that he made. Canada honors John more then we do and I think that's terrible. Just like they made a big to do about Michael Jackson more than Farrah Fawcett! What's wrong with these people?? America is backwards. Everything revolves around what entertains people easy. It stinks. Again, we luv u John, U left way too soon. |

Okay, I'd put this on the forum but, I think everyone should know this.I went on youtube and they had an interview with Dan Fogler, talking to him about an Uncle buck remake!!! They better not! Personally I think any movies with John Candy in them shouldn't be remade!!! Hollywood is running out of ideas if they have to tap into the great movies John Candy did. I'm angry. Leave John Candy movies alone. Hollywood is terrible for not honoring a true legend like him. They'll give un-talented bimbos like paris hilton a star on the hollywood walk of fame. They'll make documentaries about druggies who die of overdoses and completely spoiled brats with rich parents who have done nothing special. It's complete BS if u ask me. America is terrible for not honoring John Candy and I have quite a beef with that. Oh, well life goes on I guess but u all would agree with me right?? We Luv u John. |

I miss John Candy more than ever! I was only 2 years- old when he died but I feel very sad that he passed away so early. There is no other actor who touches me in the way John Candy do. Everytime I watch a Candy-movie I think to myself "man, what a actor he was" I have made a tribute-video to Mr.Candy on youtube:
