I became a John Candy fan about 10 years ago. I am 26 now. It's sad when people you care about is no longer here. I'm getting ready to watch one of his movies before I go to bed. |

Absolutely loved him, a great actor who brought humour and pathos to his many great movie roles. Never tire of watching his movies; especially 'Uncle Buck' and 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles'. Sadly missed. |

Wathcing "Only the lonley" right now, can't beleive how long ago it's been since his death. I was only 10 then but my family was so sad, we always loved him so much. I know he's making the angels laugh as he did us. R.I.P. John |

John Candy was my all time favorite actor, I miss him alot and miss seeing new movies of him, I still watch all of the ones he has made and I never get tired of them. I hope he is making every one laugh up in heaven just as much as he did to us down here. You will always be in my heart and I hope to run into you someday in heaven. |

my kids and I place Uncle Buck as one of our all-time faves, and I am sure they will watch it with their children; I am also a big fan of John's other roles |

HBO still shows his movies. My family plops down in the living room with drinks and popcorn to watch. We still get great laughs, thanks john for making us laugh for all theses years. |

John Candy was an exciting actor to watch. I was fortunate enough to have met him back in the 80's in Toronto Canada where I grew up. He was shopping at Bay Bloor Radio & I still have his autograph on my Canadian one dollar bill. Now I live in New York City but his great talent always had a big impression on me & the rest of the world. If you notice - most of the talented comedians come from Canada where John Candy was born. I miss you Big John !! You meant alot to me growing up..I will watch your movies forever. |

John Candy was the BEST actor from the 80's, just bought Uncle Buck and The Great Outdoors, and its a shame he died because could you imagine him today playing those rolls,
John was so good at what he does (I say does as once dvd's are produced he lives on) that todays comedy actors don't have a pick on John.
RIP JOHN CANDY. |

John .. you are sadly missed. You left such an impression on me in the few films I was privileged enough to watch. Just imagine what could have been accomplished if he had lived 30 years more .. or beyond. RIP. |
