I just found out that John Candy died 17 years ago. I had no idea! I thought he was still alive; retired. It is such a shame that an actor as talented as John had to die so young. RIP mate... |

Thank you for putting this excellent site together on John Candy. I have some of his films but am delighted to have the chance to see clips of so much of his material here. What a great actor John was. I grew up wathing him in the eighties and always found him a hilarious and warm character on screen. I was stunned when I heard the news on the radio back in '94 that my favourite actor was gone. Rest In Peace, John. Thanks for all the laughs. |

I just watched, for about the 150th time, "Planes, Trains and Automobiles" and realize what a treasure we lost when we lost John Candy. He was REAL and he was funny - and a wonderful actor. No one can take his place. |

Loved watching the guy in all his films, did not have to say anything to have you laughing, just the look on his face said it all.
Greats like this only come once in a lifetime, rest well John. His poor wife and children, God owes them. |

I really enjoyed watching john's films, and my son and I watched uncle buck tonight, and it just as funny as the first time I saw it. It was quite a shock when I heard he passed, and it's hard to believe it's been 17 years. Still missed. |

I'm watching Uncle Buck right now (5th time). What a great movie! John's humor will always be a big part of my childhood - "I'm a man and a dog..I'm a Mog, I'm my own best friend!"....clas sic! Love you John |
